Riviera Beach Boating Program January 2012

The first month of our Boating Program up in the City of Riviera Beach has been a great success.  We have had about 40 new students attend a day of boating and fishing activities thus far.  The students have participated in activities such as offshore fishing, intracoastal fishing, fishing from the beach, kayaking, and a trip to Peanut Island.

The fishing trips have been a lot of fun, but the one thing Capt Rich and I have noticed is that the students need to let their bait sit down on the bottom a little longer to be able to catch more fish.  We have caught a ton of fish so far with them, including triggerfish, snappers, grunts, porgies, and barracudas.

We have also had a day of learning how to kayak and paddle the john boats.  Most of the students picked it up right away, and all figured it out before the day was done.  This was an important first step to being able to paddle over to Peanut Island to snorkel and explore around the island.

  1. Fishing must be tough, puncture-resistant, require low maintenance and cost-effectiveness of the process of closure. You can find all these features only in the aluminum fishing boat. This is an ideal material for fishing. In its more of a light weight, it can be removed easily from one place to another.
